New Review Article on Staff Training Strategies
A review article from one of our Working Groups, Reduce, manage or cope: A review of strategies for training school staff to address challenging behaviours displayed by students with intellectual/developmental disabilities, has been published by the Journal of Research in Special Educational Needs.
New Medication Fact Sheets on Our Resources Page
Members of our KATYDID team developed quick reference guides for teachers of several medications commonly prescribed to students. The Medication Fact Sheets are now available on our Resources page.
Upcoming Conference Presentation
Members of our KATYDID team will present at the Canadian Conference on Developmental Disabilities and Autism in Winnipeg on May 7th, 2014. Our topic will be Preference Assessment, What it is and How to do it. We’ll also introduce our Preference Assessment App for iOS.
New Article and Resources on Preference Assessments
An article from one of our Working Groups titled, Clinical Decision Making and Preference Assessment for Individuals With Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities has been published by the American Journal on Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities.
Members of this Working Group also developed A Decision Tree and Preference Assessment Forms that are now available on our Resources page.
